Roswell | Beheeyem
Roswell | Beheeyem ♀
Life/Universe | Detektivbyrån
Met in New Bark (level 5)
Level: 100
Type: Psychic
Egg Group: Human-Like / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Synchronize
Nature & Characteristic: Naive / Mischievous
Notable Features: Smaller 'V' marking above standard cranial markings. Extra set of 'buttons'.
August 23, Year 1 | I have chosen to name her Eleanor, as the sound she is most capable of producing is 'el'. As it has been explained to me, Pokémon speak only their species name or a similar sound. This brings up the question of whether Pokémon are named after the sound they produce (which does not explain some Pokémon who only roar or growl) or if they learn to parrot the name given to them by humans as part of the deeply symbiotic relationship the two species share. I have also heard that Psychic-types may communicate with their trainers via telepathy; either she has not attempted to do so or I have not heard her attempts. I fear my metal plate may be blocking them out, but I will leave time for more of a bond to grow between us before making assumptions.
September 13, Year 1 | Today I heard a definite mental response for the first time when speaking to her. It was distant and distorted, but I am absolutely certain it was an attempt at psychic communication. I should think I've heard enough voices inside my own head to know one when I hear one. Either she is learning to work around my metal plate or our bond is growing stronger; perhaps it is a little of column A and a little of column B.
October 1, Year 1 | After weeks of practice we have succeeded in having a full conversation without fading or distortion. Her 'voice' is soft and fairly high in pitch and reminds me of nothing so much as the voice one might hear narrating one of those hokey old new age healing tapes my mother used to hawk. In her favor, she is far more logical and worth listening to. In fact she has proven incredibly opinionated, and her first point of contention was the name that I chose for her. 'Eleanor' was not to her taste and we spent quite some time running through potential alternatives before she settled on my suggestion of 'Roswell'. I think the explanation behind its meaning and specifically the association with extraterrestrials amused her.
October 29, Year 1 | At long last, Roswell has evolved! Her new form retains much of the visual language of her old one, with the addition of a larger cranium, a green goggle-like covering over her eyes, and what appears to be an organic coat. It does not escape me that we match, to an extent. With her levels she has also gained some level of maturity; I wonder if Pokémon mature with their level regardless of their chronological age, or if it's a mix of both? Perhaps they call it 'experience' for a reason...
March 13, Year 1 | Today Roswell reached what is referred to as level one hundred. That is, she has now accrued as much experience as it is possible for her to have in terms of stored energy. This is something I am still studying and developing theories on, but as I continue to train my Pokémon and more of them reach this plateau I will be able to more accurately understand what it entails.
August 17, Year 1 | After almost a year of travel together I am retiring Roswell to the PC. Not permanently, of course, but we discussed it and Claudia will be more helpful to me on the Seafoam Islands as I search for Lugia. For her part, Roswell seems excited to have a vacation!
Titania | Forretress
Titania | Forretress ♀
Magic Spell | KK & the Steampunk Orchestra
Met on Route 29 (level 4)
Level: 100
Type: Bug / Steel
Egg Group: Bug / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Sturdy
Nature & Characteristic: Jolly / Proud of its Power
Notable Features: Breed standard.
August 31, Year 1 | I finally have a name for her! Mabel chose to name the Pineco I caught for her after a queen (or several), which gave me the inspiration that I needed. I have decided on Titania, queen of the fair folk and thus an appropriate name for a Bug-type.
October 17, Year 1 | Today I experienced my very first Pokémon evolution up close and personal! It was perhaps flashier than I expected, but no less impressive. I didn't realize that such a radical physical change could take place so quickly, but apparently this is normal for these creatures. Such a huge expenditure of energy may explain the need for so much time and effort to prompt evolution in the first place. I ought to look into this more closely at a later date.
October 31, Year 1 | Today we had a very interesting battle with a trainer calling herself Plumeria, a member of an organization known as Team Skull. Titania more than performed; just as I suspected, the addition of a Forretress to my team was an excellent choice. I admit I was originally somewhat contemptuous of the people who cited Pokémon as their friends, but I have grown very fond of her. I think it would behoove us to attempt a gym challenge sometime soon. She is a natural battler and it would do her good to see more action!
September 29, Year 2 | After serving so long as a faithful friend and fighter, Titania was able to take down an entire Pokémon Gym today completely by herself. Sabrina didn't know what hit her! Of course Titania was just as proud of herself as could be, and for good reasons. I'm proud of her as well.
Claudia | Crobat
Claudia | Crobat ♀
Le Pop | Katzenjammer
Met on Route 31 (level 10)
Level: 100
Type: Poison / Flying
Egg Group: Flying / 16 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature & Characteristic: Naughty / Impetuous and Silly
Notable Features: Ears are notably shorter than average.
October 2, Year 1 | As expected, a name presented itself in due time. While eating lunch in a local diner I overheard a young man discussing names with the network at large, and through talking to him hit upon the perfect name. There are few female vampires, but Claudia is one of the more intriguing examples.
November 17, Year 1 | Inspired by Plumeria's Golbat (it knew Overheat! Incredible), I have taken it upon myself to teach Claudia a couple of TM moves, namely U-Turn and Sludge Bomb. One will serve her well as a Poison type, but the other is a strategic move. My thought is that, while a Bug type move may seem strange for her, it will prove invaluable against Psychic types -- a type she is weak against otherwise. To have a way to compensate for such a weakness seems to me to be a more than sensible course of action.
May 1, Year 1 | My very first clutch of Pokemon eggs has arrived, courtesy of Claudia and Mirkwood. Needless to say she is incredibly pleased with herself! The eggs themselves I plan to give away to trainers who are interested in them; the main goal of this was as a trial run to future breeding endeavors. Given that I did quite a bit of research beforehand it was fairly painless and I foresee similar success in future.
Kerouac | Garbodor
Kerouac | Garbodor ♂
Thrift Shop | Vitamin String Quartet
Met in Goldenrod (level 19)
Level: 70
Type: Poison
Egg Group: Mineral / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Stench
Nature & Characteristic: Lax / Impetuous and Silly
Notable Features: Breed standard.
Destroying Angel | Shiinotic
Destroying Angel | Shiinotic ♀
The Supper | Bruno Coulais
Met on Route 37 (level 17)
Level: 100
Type: Grass / Fairy
Egg Group: Grass / 21 cycles
Held Item: Big Root
Ability: Effect Spore
Nature & Characteristic: Quirky / Loves to Eat
Notable Features: Particularly long arms.
December 18, Year 1 | Morelull has evolved into perhaps the most intriguing Pokemon I have yet seen. Shiinotic resembles something akin to the bastard child of a traditional stylized alien and a mushroom, and its simple smiling face is particularly delightful. I have chosen to name it Destroying Angel, mainly because it amuses me and also in reference to how well it is already pulling its weight in battle. I am frankly surprised at how well it is performing and it may be a more permanent member of my team from here on out.
Mirkwood | Decidueye
Mirkwood | Decidueye ♂
The Flight Home (The Guardian Theme) | David Hirschfelder
Egg obtained from Blanche
Hatched in Goldenrod (level 1)
Level: 100
Type: Grass / Ghost
Egg Group: Flying / 16 cycles
Held Item: Life Orb
Ability: Long Reach*
Nature & Characteristic: Serious / Highly Persistent
Notable Features: Thicker pattern of white spots on the wings and back; particularly thick around the shoulders.
December 6, Year 1 | The egg contained a Rowlet! This Pokemon is as-of-yet incredibly new to this region and so being able to train one is no small privilege. Considering its leafy appearance and the form it will one day take when it is fully evolved, I have elected to name it Mirkwood.
March 21, Year 1 | Despite now having passed the level at which he should have evolved a second time, Mirkwood stubbornly remains a Dartrix. I can only speculate as to why, though he has been somewhat immature and contrary ever since he evolved and so I might posit that he is stuck as something of the Pokemon equivalent to a teenager. I have no doubt he will evolve when he is ready, and in the meantime he is learning new attacks at an accelerated rate which is something I will not object to.
April 8, Year 1 | As I expected, Mirkwood evolved when he was ready. A recent celebration was cut short by a group of Pokemon thieves and in the process of aiding me in stopping them he became a Decidueye. I again look to my theory that experience is not simply a counter of energy taken in or expended, but rather tied in some way to a Pokemon's maturity in terms of personality. Now that he has evolved he acts far more adult; the real question becomes, then, did evolving cause his personality to mature or did maturing cause him to evolve?
May 1, Year 1 | As I mentioned in my notes on Claudia, today marks my first successful breeding attempt (and my first breeding attempt in general). Mirkwood proved to be a very attentive and almost fussy parent; he has been arranging and dusting the eggs as I attempt to find them homes. I think he may be worried about them looking presentable for their new trainers. How charming.
Nazca | Sigilyph
Nazca | Sigilyph ♂
Carapacian Dominion | Seth "Beatfox" Peelle
Met in the Ruins of Alph (level 19)
Level: 50
Type: Psychic / Flying
Egg Group: Flying / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature & Characteristic: Calm / Strong Willed
Notable Features: Breed standard.
March 5, Year 1 | Finally! After a long, fruitless search and many near misses, I have captured a Sigilyph of my own. I have named him Nazca given his overwhelming resemblance to the Nazca lines, a resemblance that intrigues and baffles me when this world has no equivalent for him to have emulated. It raises quite a few questions about shared imagery across universes and the general tendency of there to be repeating forms even across worlds that have had no contact with each other.
Fay | Zoroark
★ Fay | Zoroark ♀
Mountain Legends | CloZee
Given by Dipper Pines (level 86)
Level: 100
Type: Dark
Egg Group: Field / 26 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Illusion
Nature & Characteristic: Quiet / Proud of its Power
Notable Features: Rare 'shiny' coloration. Smoother, finer fur than the common Zoroark.
April 9, Year 1 | During the annual Pokemon Prom at Tohjo Falls Fay was very nearly stolen by a member of Team Rocket. I managed to recover her and I believe this incident, while unfortunate, was instrumental in her coming to trust me. I suppose every gray cloud has a silver lining that way.
May 2, Year 1 | Today I have rearranged most of my team, but Fay remains. She expressed great interest in Mirkwood and Claudia's eggs, and I believe she may enjoy looking after the egg I am carrying with me as well as the younger Pokemon I plan to train up on this trip. As she opens up to me more she has begun to display a nurturing personality and I see no reason not to allow her to indulge.
Scylla | Gorebyss
Scylla | Gorebyss ♀
She Wants Me Dead | CAZETTE vs. Aron Chupa ft. The High
Met in Tohjo Falls (level 29)
Level: 100
Type: Water
Egg Group: Water 1 / 21 cycles
Held Item: Mystic Water
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature & Characteristic: Rash / Good Endurance
Notable Features: Tip missing from the end of the dorsal fin, ragged caudal fin (a bite scar?), left clamshell cracked.
May 2, Year 1 | In the interest of bonding with Scylla, as well as acclimating her to life outside of Rocket captivity, I have swapped her into my active team and outfitted her with a Soothe Bell. Hopefully it will help her deal with her... personality issues. She is moody at best and violent at worst, and has tried to attack me twice now. I feel as though battle will help her to burn off all of this negative energy and in addition I have been attempting to teach her meditation techniques similar to the ones I use. Even with Roswell to translate it is very slow going: she is markedly stubborn.
May 25, Year 1 | As I settle in to my time in Blackthorn, I can happily report that Scylla has made marked improvement... of a sort. The Soothe Bell has certainly changed her demeanor toward me, something for which I am grateful, but it has not changed her core violent nature whatsoever. Her affection is as likely to cause injury as her disdain, as it turns out. She is particularly fond of smacking me with her tail or coiling around me and squeezing just on the wrong side of too tight. I have often seen hugs described metaphorically as 'crushing' but this is ridiculous. Still, it comes from a good place and on the whole speaks to her recovery from what she endured at the hands of Team Rocket. It's lucky for the both of us that I'm sturdy.
Betyl | Minior
★ Betyl | Minior ∅
Jupiter | Margot Reisinger
Egg obtained from A Mysterious Gift-Giver
Hatched in Mahogany (level 1)
Level: 20
Type: Rock / Flying
Egg Group: Mineral / 26 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Shields Down
Nature & Characteristic: Sassy / Scatters Things Often
Notable Features: Rare 'shiny' coloration.
May 12, Year 1 | I can barely write, I'm so giddy. The egg hatched into a Minior, one of the newer additions to the extensive list of species this universe is home to (that is, several months ago it sprung spontaneously into having always been, but I won't write down my entire theory on the natural reality shift cycle of this universe here. Minior is a space-dwelling Pokemon that only falls to earth when the shell of space detritus it collects around its high-energy core becomes too heavy. What's more, I have discovered that my Minior is a rare coloration! I very well may have found another permanent addition to my team. There is something so inherently charming about a little space sprite with googly eyes.
Sugarplum | Spritzee
★ Sugarplum | Spritzee ♀
Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy | Pentatonix
Egg obtained from Jade Harley
Hatched in Blackthorn (level 1)
Level: 20
Type: Fairy
Egg Group: Fairy / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Healer
Nature & Characteristic: Gentle / Alert to Sounds
Notable Features: Rare 'shiny' coloration. Larger than standard feather tuft on top of head.
June 7, Year 1 | I got quite a surprise when my Spritzee hatched today: she is purple rather than pink! It looks as though I have come into possession of yet another anomalous Pokémon. I have named her Sugarplum, a name she seems to like a great deal. She is overall affectionate and seems to very much enjoy nesting in my hair.
Fantastic Mr. Fox | Ninetales
Fantastic Mr. Fox | Ninetales ♂
Fame | Irene Cara
Egg obtained from Jade Harley
Hatched in Blackthorn (level 1)
Level: 100
Type: Fire
Egg Group: Field / 21 cycles
Held Item: Charcoal (worn smudged around his eyes)
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature & Characteristic: Calm / Strong Willed
Notable Features: Much smaller mane than breed standard, both on top of head and around neck. Tails are shorter than usual.
September 25, Year 2 | After months of training, finally Fantastic Mr. Fox is ready to evolve, and while here in Celadon City I have taken the liberty of purchasing a Fire Stone for just this purpose. Ninetails is just as impressive up close as I was led to believe. When I first took up the task of training him I wasn't certain I would enjoy it quite as much as I enjoyed working with the stranger Pokemon I have had the pleasure of raising, but Mr. Fox has been a joy to work with since he hatched. While so many other trainers swear by their Arcanine, I believe I have found my own preferred canine companion in Ninetails.
October 1, Year 2 | Mr. Fox has produced a batch of five eggs with Fay! After my successful attempt with Claudia and Mirkwood I am more than excited to see what this group of eggs may have in store. They are all spoken for as I write this, and going to good homes.
October 3, Year 2 | Today Fantastic Mr. Fox and I challenged Misty for the Cascade Badge in Cerulean City. It was a gamble taking a Fire type Pokémon to a Water-centric gym, and unfortunately that gamble did not pay off. However, Misty commended us on beating both her Golduck and her Lapras before finally being bested by her Starmie. Apparently she found it impressive that I made it that far, which was bolstering. Mr. Fox did not take it so well. He's been sulking since we left the gym and nothing I said could console him. I hope this mood doesn't last long.
January 10, Year 2 | Today I have discovered that Mr. Fox is something of a running joke on the internet. That is, my use of him in Misty's gym was broadcast (as gym battles often are) and has become memetic. There are images of my face with phrases such as 'GOING TO A WATER GYM? BETTER BRING MY NINETALES' plastered over them. Mr. Fox is aware of this... and he loves it. It has boosted his confidence to a truly ridiculous degree. I believe he parses these jokes as praise instead, that he believes they are saying he can overcome things a regular Ninetales could not. I don't have the heart to try and explain to him the true nature of his celebrity.
Douglas | Abomasnow
Douglas | Abomasnow ♀
Champion | Barns Courtney
Met on the Ice Path (level 36)
Level: 100
Type: Grass / Ice
Egg Group: Monster and Grass / 21 cycles
Held Item: Abomasite
Ability: Snow Warning
Nature & Characteristic: Hardy / Hates to Lose
Notable Features: Bigger than standard (8'2'' normal, 10'1'' mega).
June 1, Year 1 | Douglas has evolved! While I have seen an Abomasnow in person before, I didn't have the opportunity to truly study it. It reminds me of nothing so much as a yeti, a comparison I admit I find very charming especially when one considers Abomasnow's chosen environment and general behavior. Imagine: the abominable snowman was a walking tree all along, truly part of the environment in which it lives and thus able to camouflage itself seamlessly. The yeti of the Pokémon world has adapted brilliantly to its niche. In terms of personality Douglas remains outgoing and curious, though now she has adapted a somewhat more mature gruff affectation. She clapped me on the back earlier and knocked me flat. It was fantastic.
She reminds me just a little of Wendy. She has that big Corduroy personality.November 27, Year 2 | At long last Douglas has reached maximum level and is now capable of executing Mega Evolution. Eager as I am to try it, it was important to first retire Douglas to the box for some time in order to give her a rest after months of intensive training. Once my vacation in Sevii is over I will add her to my team again and we will get down to business learning to master this new ability available to us.
January 13, Year 2 | Today a Contest was announced: a unique opportunity to showcase a trainer's skill and their Pokémon's abilities. Naturally I entered, and I am taking Douglas with me. I know this is something at which she will excel. Today marks the beginning of resumed training!
January 20, Year 2 | The results of the Contest have been announced and Douglas and I placed third in the Best in Show category. It feels like the proper culmination of the past months. All the time that went into traveling up to the Ice Path, finding a Snover (and not only that but the right Snover), and then training that Snover up all the way to its level cap has been leading up to this. Not only have I made a valuable friend but everyone was able to see just how talented she is. As much as I miss my home and my family it's moments like this that make this world one I can be happy in.
Falkor | Drampa
Falkor | Drampa ♂
Neverending Story | Limahl
Met in Blackthorn (level 29)
Level: 100
Type: Normal / Dragon
Egg Group: Monster and Dragon / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Berserk
Nature & Characteristic: Gentle / Somewhat of a Clown
Notable Features: Breed standard.
June 10, Year 1 | Today the Drampa returned and I was able to get much closer than I did last time. It seems to sense that I, too, find the small children endearing
perhaps because of how much I miss my dear niece and nephewand so does not consider me a threat. I allowed the children to see my sketches and they were most impressed, as they very well should be. We spent the afternoon drawing Pokemon. I believe I have made a breakthrough in earning the trust of this Drampa and, thanks to the generosity of the local children, obtained quite a few extra sketches.June 16, Year 1 | Once again in my life I find myself to be the beneficiary of marvelous chance, or perhaps simply another anomaly. While at the park today as has now become my habit, the children were approached by a group of much larger boys. I was reminded very strongly of Crampelter and his goons. Perhaps that is why I stepped in to put a stop to the bullying, and found myself fighting alongside the Drampa I have been observing all this time. Between the two of us we were more than intimidating enough to scare off those hoodlums, and I believe such a clear demonstration of what a good team we make was enough to convince the Drampa (who I have since named Falkor, after a character in one of Mabel's favorite movies) to travel with me long-term. While I don't have room for him at this exact moment, he will be the first on my team the next time I change things around.
July 17, Year 1 | Nearly a month later it is time for Falkor to shine. I believe he will make an excellent mentor to Smash Mouth -- the Smrgol to his Gorbash, as it were.
Smash Mouth
Smash Mouth | Gible ♂
All Star | Smash Mouth
Egg obtained from Bertholt Hoover
Hatched in Blackthorn (level 1)
Level: 50
Type: Dragon / Ground
Egg Group: Monster and Dragon / 41 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Rough Skin*
Nature & Characteristic: Brave / Loves to Eat
Notable Features: Particularly bright belly.
November 11, Year 2 | Today I beat Lt. Surge's gym and won the Thunder Badge using only Smash Mouth. His immunity to Electric moves was instrumental, as was his truly monstrous list of available moves, but it still amazes me that we pulled it off. This almost makes up for his habit of eating my pens. Almost.
Jellybean | Reuniclus
Jellybean | Reuniclus ♂
Jelly | OMFG
Given by Armin Arlert (level 19)
Level: 60
Type: Psychic
Egg Group: Amorphous / 21 cycles
Held Item: Sticky Barb
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature & Characteristic: Quirky / Somewhat Vain
Notable Features: Doubled 'ears'; the second pair is slightly smaller. Eyes are also further apart than usual, there is a divot in the middle of the forehead where a third eye never developed, and the mouth instead of being perfectly triangular has two top 'points'.
July 10, Year 1 | Jellybean evolved into a Duosion today and his mutation took on a new and equally intriguing form. The yellow protrusions were lost in favor of a doubling in the secondary brain floating above his main head. There are two of them where one should be, though each is smaller than the single one would be on a typical Duosion.
July 26, Year 1 | I don't know what I expected a Reuniclus with Diprosopus to look like, but Jellybean has met my expectations spectacularly. This time the doubled facial features are the 'ears' that float above a Reuniclus's head. Where one should be there are two instead, with the outermost pair appearing slightly smaller than the innermost. It's almost as though that pair is less developed, much as the doubled brains in his Duosion form were.
November 3, Year 2 | Misty is defeated. Jellybean took her team down entirely on his own with a clever mix of stalling and setup that rendered her almost unable to fight back at all. He has truly come into his own and I couldn't be prouder.
Don't Cry Kid | Togetic
Don't Cry Kid | Togetic ♂
My Party | Kero Kero Bonito
Egg obtained from Cecil Harvey
Hatched in Fuchsia (level 1)
Level: 40
Type: Fairy / Flying
Egg Group: Flying and Fairy / 11 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature & Characteristic: Bold / Somewhat Stubborn
Notable Features: Breed standard.
September 9, Year 2 | He won't stop crying.
September 12, Year 2 | help
September 18, Year 2 | He hears me say 'don't cry, kid' so often he's under the impression it's his name. He's lucky that I require very little sleep or I would be much more upset about this, though the noise does make it difficult to get anything else done. My hope is that he'll grow out of it as he matures, though I find it odd no other Pokemon have hatched in such an immature state. Most of them come out of the egg fully-independent. Is this a unique quality of Togepi as a species, or is he just a crybaby?
September 28, Year 2 | I have taken the liberty of removing the Soothe Bell from Scylla (who certainly likes me enough already) and entrusting it to Kid instead. I think it may help his mood issues considerably; he already is calmer and less prone to tantrums.
January 22, Year 2 | Today, at long last, Kid has evolved. His crybaby days are now entirely over: he has become buoyant and energetic, along with shedding the last of his shell and growing both a neck and a pair of wings. Puberty really can do wonders.
Franceska | Kirlia
Franceska | Kirlia ♀
Anidiplosis Trim | Pengosolvent
Egg obtained from Cecil Harvey
Hatched in Violet City (level 1)
Level: 41
Type: Psychic / Fairy
Egg Group: Amorphous / 21 cycles
Held Item: Everstone
Ability: Synchronize
Nature & Characteristic: Timid / Very Finicky
Notable Features: Breed standard.
August 28, Year 2 | Franceska evolved today, and she did not take to it well. I have yet to meet a Pokemon who found evolving truly stressful, but she made it very clear that she did not enjoy the experience (have you ever heard faint psychic screams as though from a great distance? Unpleasant). I am unsure how to proceed at this time but my preliminary solution has been to give her an Everstone to hold with the express understanding that it will stop her from evolving again. That seemed to calm her down to a degree. For the moment she is in the PC resting and recovering; I felt she deserved a break after her ordeal.
prom stuff goes here

Level: 100
Type: Dragon

Held Item: n/a
Ability: Shed Skin
Nature & Characteristic: Mild / Highly Curious
Notable Features: Rare 'shiny' coloration. Particularly long cranial wings.
Nemo | Omastar
★ Nemo | Omastar ♂
Buoyancy | K-391
Given by Elsa (level 20)
Level: 60
Type: Rock / Water
Egg Group: Water 1 and Water 3 / 31 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature & Characteristic: Calm / Loves To Eat
Notable Features: Rare 'shiny' coloration.
Corpse Flower | Vileplume
Corpse Flower | Vileplume ♂
Epoch [Instrumental] | Savlonic (The Living Tombstone Remix)
Egg obtained from Ryner Lute
Hatched in Pewter (level 1)
Level: 50
Type: Grass / Poison
Egg Group: Grass / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature & Characteristic: Timid / Sturdy Body
Notable Features: Breed standard.
November 6, Year 2 | My Oddish hatched today. When it came to choosing a name, Corpse Flower was really the only choice. He will grow up into a walking rafflesia eventually, after all (though for breeding purposes I cannot actually evolve him until he learns Moonblast, something only Oddish learns naturally).
November 25, Year 2 | Today Corpse Flower had his first battle against a trainer. He faced off against a Stunky and soundly trounced it with some well-timed setup and a single Solar Beam. Needless to say I am very pleased with his performance, especially given his shy and retiring behavior outside of battle. I was concerned it may not be something he enjoys but after today I can be confident that is not the case. He merely isn't as boisterous as Claudia or aggressive as Scylla (and truth be told I'm almost glad of that).
Kachina | Xatu
Kachina | Xatu ♀
For A Few Dollars More (Main Theme) | Ennio Morricone
Egg obtained from Walter Sullivan
Hatched on Three Island (level 1)
Level: 50
Type: Psychic / Flying
Egg Group: Flying / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Early Bird
Nature & Characteristic: Sassy / Scatters Things Often
Notable Features: Breed standard.
November 29, Year 2 | Kachina hatched today. A female Natu (and eventual Xatu) is indeed the asset I hoped it would be. Her line and the Rowlet line share many overlapping moves, meaning that she and Mirkwood will likely have powerful offspring provided they hit it off. For now however I plan to focus on training her up and getting a feel for her personality.
January 29, Year 2 | Kachina evolved today. While her head remains almost functionally identical, she has grown an entire body between it and her feet. She has a personality that is a little difficult to pin down, but I suppose if I had to use a single words to describe it it would be 'smug'. She is very self-assured, and her new height has only made her more so.
Alice | Gothitelle
Alice | Gothitelle ♂
I'm Your Gun | Alice Cooper
Met in Celadon (level 25)
Level: 50
Type: Psychic
Egg Group: Human-Like / 21 cycles
Held Item: n/a
Ability: Competitive
Nature & Characteristic: Bold / Good Perseverance
Notable Features: Organic 'bows' are less rounded than breed standard, with sharper corners more akin to bow ties.
September 26, Year 2 | Today my observer was back; it tailed me all the way to the gym, though once again it remained outside the building when I entered. When I left again it was still there waiting for me. This was about the point where I asked it if it might like to travel with me in an official capacity instead of merely stalking me around the city, and its answer was an instantaneous affirmative. I believe it may have been waiting for me to ask since last night, in fact. I have named it Alice, considering its striking resemblance to a miniature Mr. Cooper.
October 9, Year 2 | Alice evolved today. His new form is markedly more humanoid in proportion, though still exaggerated far beyond a normal human's body. In addition he has come out of his shell and developed what I can only describe as a bit of an attitude. I believe the name I chose is more fitting for him than I first realized.
October 31, Year 2 | Yesterday Alice reached his third and final form. He has yet again gained height, and what before resembled a skirt has now become a floor-length dress. He wears it very well. Not only that, but I believe Roswell has taken a marked interest in him. The two of them have been spending quite a lot of time together and while I am not entirely sure what Pokémon flirting looks like, I don't think it's a stretch to assume that is what I am witnessing.
