January 30, Year 2 | While in Lavender Town I took the time to visit the Pokémon House. It functions as a shelter for Pokémon that have been orphaned, abandoned or even rescued from Team Rocket. I hadn't intended to come away with a new team member, but while there I took a particular interest in a Golett. He was a recent arrival, abandoned presumably for the disobedience and anger issues that being abandoned had only compounded. A Pokémon like that needs individual attention; Scylla taught me as much. I offered to take him in. He kicked me in the ankle. I think I am going to enjoy working with him.
