October 9, Year 2 | While exploring Mt. Moon with Newt (and working on the surprise I have planned for Armin's birthday), I happened to run into a Clefairy. More accurately, a Clefairy decided to make it her mission to tail me through the caves with the singular intent of annoying me in every way she conceivably could: stealing my pens, flicking stones at me, and the like. This didn't particularly bother me: it was an excellent opportunity to study a Clefairy in its natural habitat. It drove Alice absolutely crazy, though, and eventually he engaged the Clefairy in a battle out of sheer frustration. I saw no reason not to take advantage of the situation and capture her, and so Phoebe is replacing Kid on my team for the time being. Provided she and Alice don't quarrel too much I think having a Pokémon that is intimately familiar with the caves will prove invaluable.
January 20, Year 2 | I have been working with Phoebe for some time and it is only now that she has evolved. I have been concerned about her attitude: she has proven to be a troublemaker and proud of it. I have been worried that more power might go to her head in unpleasant ways. Unfortunately she found the Moon Stone in my bag and made the decision for me, so here we are. At least she respects me to a degree. It's everyone else I'm worried about.
