July 26, Year 1 | At long last I have had occasion to hatch the Ralts egg I purchased from Cecil Harvey. The Ralts that emerged is a curious creature, exceptionally shy and retiring. I have given her a name that I think may inspire a little more confidence in her.
August 28, Year 2 | Franceska evolved today, and she did not take to it well. I have yet to meet a Pokemon who found evolving truly stressful, but she made it very clear that she did not enjoy the experience (have you ever heard faint psychic screams as though from a great distance? Unpleasant). I am unsure how to proceed at this time but my preliminary solution has been to give her an Everstone to hold with the express understanding that it will stop her from evolving again. That seemed to calm her down to a degree. For the moment she is in the PC resting and recovering; I felt she deserved a break after her ordeal.
