January 1, Year 2 | For Christmas, Jean was kind enough to give me a Dhelmise egg. It is now in my party along with Kelvin the Slugma. I want it to hatch as soon as possible: a Pokémon that is simply a clump of sentient seaweed manipulating parts scavenged from sunken ships is such a perfect distillation of everything I enjoy that it almost feels as though it was made for me.
January 8, Year 2 | My Dhelmise hatched today! It is every bit as impressive as I thought it would be, and while the Pokédex lists its height it is still wholly different seeing it in person. I have named it USS Cyclops after one of the more famous ships lost in the general vicinity of the Bermuda Triangle.
January 28, Year 2 | Cyclops has been a joy to work with thus-far. While territorial of its scavenged wheel and anchor, it is for the most part even-tempered and even something of an intellectual. It seems to take its ghost typing very seriously, even more so since I explained to it the meaning behind its name. It genuinely seems to want to live up to the mystery and intrigue of its namesake.
