December 10, Year 2 | On an impulse I purchased two Rockruff puppies today. I have half-baked plans to raise them concurrently and see if there are any marked differences in their maturation, but simply having two puppies is also acceptable. The female is headstrong and bold while the male is shy and retiring.
January 19, Year 2 | Continuing my track record of doing things on impulse, I am now in possession of only one Rockruff. I have kept Lawrence Talbot, but his sister Warg is now in the possession of a young man she took a liking to at the Contest Spectacular. I think this will be good for Lawrence in the long run. He needs to come out from his sister's shadow, which is where he's been hiding since I took him in.
January 21, Year 2 | Not two days after becoming a solo pack member, Lawrence has evolved. While I would have been happy with either form of Lycanroc I must admit I am partial to its Midnight look (to say nothing of how that form is so complimentary to Lawrence's name) and glad that my remaining Rockruff evolved at night. Lawrence himself has changed less than I expected he would: while his form has become far more imposing and fierce, his personality remains (for the most part) quiet and reserved. He is particularly careful with his new, much larger paws and I have observed him attempting to smooth down his fur. I have also observed that he is now more easily frustrated, or perhaps allows his frustration to show more plainly. When the comb I gave him to help with his fur became stuck in a tangle his mood became downright nasty and he snapped it in half trying to remove it. Note to self: buy heavy-duty comb.
