April 9, Year 1 | Perhaps the worst part of the battle against Team Rocket at Tohjo Falls was the discovery of a room full of caged Pokemon, clearly in poor health. While they have all since been freed I took it upon myself to liberate this one in particular. She was one of the few still actively fighting and I found that determination inspirational. While she is still as of yet distrustful, I believe she will warm up to me given time and better treatment than she was no doubt shown by her captors.
May 2, Year 1 | In the interest of bonding with Scylla, as well as acclimating her to life outside of Rocket captivity, I have swapped her into my active team and outfitted her with a Soothe Bell. Hopefully it will help her deal with her... personality issues. She is moody at best and violent at worst, and has tried to attack me twice now. I feel as though battle will help her to burn off all of this negative energy and in addition I have been attempting to teach her meditation techniques similar to the ones I use. Even with Roswell to translate it is very slow going: she is markedly stubborn.
May 25, Year 1 | As I settle in to my time in Blackthorn, I can happily report that Scylla has made marked improvement... of a sort. The Soothe Bell has certainly changed her demeanor toward me, something for which I am grateful, but it has not changed her core violent nature whatsoever. Her affection is as likely to cause injury as her disdain, as it turns out. She is particularly fond of smacking me with her tail or coiling around me and squeezing just on the wrong side of too tight. I have often seen hugs described metaphorically as 'crushing' but this is ridiculous. Still, it comes from a good place and on the whole speaks to her recovery from what she endured at the hands of Team Rocket. It's lucky for the both of us that I'm sturdy.
