That I can certainly do. The very first Pokemon I caught on my own was a Pineco -- I disturbed her tree and she exploded. For a long time my entire strategy centered around that, actually. When applied at the right time and with the right direction a Self Destruct can be incredibly useful.
[Because throwing yourself into a battle to the point of destroying yourself just to bring your opponent down with you is very Ford. It may not be the best strategy but it appeals to the martyr complex he'll never entirely rid himself of.]

Self Destruct is great, isn't it? At the prom, when the Rockets were trying to steal Pokemon, one of my friend's flying Pokemon picked up Blitz and kept dropping him on their heads. When he was right above them, he'd self destruct, and then she'd grab him and bring him back to be revived. It was great!
[So great that Jean doesn't even realize he's just referred to Eren as a friend.]

I usually don't like to use Self Destruct since it knocks him out afterwards, but when he had a rescue waiting for him, it worked out really well.

Oh, yes. I find it works best as a last resort; I only ever have Titania use it when she's already in trouble and will likely find herself knocked out anyway. At the very least there's a good chance of taking her opponent down along with her.

Exactly. It's pretty rare that Blitz finds anyone he can't roll right over, so he doesn't have to use it much these days.
